Pair deliberately. Review the copy.

1. Use the native apps on a compatible private network. The web app and developer extension do not currently host native Wi-Fi sync.
2. On the unlocked main desktop, open Trusted devices, start sync and create an invitation.
3. Paste the invitation on the receiving native device. Compare the six-digit code through a trusted view of both devices, then approve the request on the main desktop.
4. Fetch the main copy and review it. Later incoming edits return as a proposal for the main user to accept.

Keep the main app open and unlocked. TLS certificate pinning protects the paired transport; a matching private subnet cannot prove physical proximity. Never bypass a certificate mismatch. Re-pair through a trusted invitation if the legitimate host identity changes.

If devices cannot connect

Check the host’s current address, guest-network isolation, firewall and VPN. Use a trusted local network; do not forward the sync port onto the internet. Stop sync and revoke a device you no longer trust.

If both copies changed

Export both encrypted files before accepting a replacement. Current sync replaces a complete copy, retains up to ten local native recovery copies and does not merge fields automatically. Three-way conflict review is proposed.
